Lafayette ? Funeral services for Alan ?Mickey? Roberts Jr. will be held Wednesday November 5, 2014 at 2:00PM in David Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Tuesday November 4, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 Pm and will resume Wednesday at 10:00 Am until time of services. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery in Broussard. Mickey touched more lives than could be listed. He was a proud Texan with a pure Cajun heart. There is not a child that has ever crossed his path that was not forever changed by this man. Mickey took in all strays and orphans - may be you 2 to 62, two-legged or four-legged - he loved them all. Alan passed away Saturday November 1, 2014 at Lafayette General Hospital He loved one woman for 37 years and will continue to wait for her with arms open wide. He was a proud father, but the world has never seen a prouder grandfather - the purest love could be seen when you saw him look at his grandchildren. Mickey taught us well: Be good to one another, Feed the world from your own kitchen, Always extend your hand, and Laugh until it hurts. Alan ?Mickey? Michael Roberts, Jr. was survived by wife Dorothy Liz Roberts; children Bennie Dee Roberts, Alan Michael Roberts III, Joshua Christopher Addie, Shane Tyra, and Ashley Mae Leonard; grandchildren Alan Michael Roberts IV, Maddilynn Renee Roberts, and Skyler Michelle Addie; nieces and nephews Jay-Michael Turner, Noah Adam Tuner, Michelle Roberts, Eddie Roberts, Justin Roberts, Leslie Roberts, Lindsey Roberts, Katherine McCommon, Maleah McCommon, Meagan McCommon, Joshua Hawkins, and Lauren Hawkins. He was preceded in death by father Alan Michael Roberts, Sr., mother Mozelle Agnes Agnor, Patricia Turner, Libby Wolske, and Jay Roberts.
