ABBEVILLE- A Mass of Christian Burial for Leontine Faulk Savoy, 103, will be 2:00PM at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church with Rev. Louis J. Richard officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home on Monday, November 3, 2014 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM and will resume on Tuesday November 4,2014 from 9:00AM until service time. A rosary will be recited at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Mausoleum of St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery. Leontine, born January 7, 1911 in Nunez and a resident of Abbeville passed away Sunday November 2,2014 in her residence. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and the Lay Carmellites. She was co owner of the former Landry's Dept. Store which is now Black's Restaurant. She enjoyed her relationship with her employees , going to market to buy merchandise, and their reunion dinners. She had a camp at Hotwells and enjoyed the hot mineral baths to help in the suffering she had with arthritis. She loved her family and looked forward to gatherings on special occasions and holidays. Her long life leaves us with many special and loving memories. She is survived by a sister-in-law Wilda Faulk; niece Sandra Faulk Viator and husband Larry; nephew Kevin Faulk and wife Meta; Niece-in-law Mrs. Michael B. Faulk; great niece and godchild Andree' LeBlanc and husband Dave. She is preceded in death by her husband Rex Savoy; parents Oleon and Nellie Hebert Faulk; brothers Marion, Donald, and Fabian "Black" Faulk; nephew Michael Faulk; niece Beverly Schriefer; great nephew Mark LeBlanc Serving as Pallbearers will be Douglas Cobb, Ryan Faulk, Wayne Touchet, Mike Miller, Tony Savant and Cade Savant.
