Raymond Verret

New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Raymond D. Verret, 82, on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Gerald Bourg officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Monday, November 10, 2014, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at 7:00 AM until the funeral service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 6:00 PM. A Masonic Service will follow the rosary A native of Weeks Island and a resident of Lydia, Mr. Verret passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 9:45 AM in a Jeanerette nursing facility. He was a retired Tool Pusher. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Masonic Lodges in New Iberia, Jeanerette and Franklin and was a member of Habibi Shriners in Lake Charles. He served in the Louisiana National Guard in Jeanerette. He was also a member of NRA, SFA Fishing Association, CIFA Fishing Association and American Legion Post 0401. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lopez Verret of Lydia; his sons, Wayne Verret and his wife Connie of Hohenwald, TN, David Verret and his wife Juanita of Jeanerette and Danny Verret and his wife Janice of Lydia; his daughters, Wendy Verret of New Iberia and Belinda Olivier and her husband Gerard of Grand Marais; his brother, Leroy Verret of Hot Springs, AR; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and his pet dog "Fe'Fe'". He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond David Verret and Elda Sedotal Verret; his son, Barry Boudreaux; his brothers, Clarence Verret, Lloyd Verret and Allen Verret; his sisters, Mary Ann Whitaker and Ulla Mae Louviere and his pet dog, "Princess". Pallbearers will be Devin Verret, Jerrit Landry, David Verret, Wayne Verret, Danny Verret and David Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Leroy Verret and Lloyd Verret, Jr..
