New Iberia - Funeral services for Bryan Fletcher Watts, 48, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in David Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. Entombment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service. Mr. Watts died on Saturday, November 15, 2014. A native of Lake Charles who spent his growing up years in New Iberia, Bryan was a 1984 graduate of New Iberia Senior High School and went on to obtain both a Bachelor's and a Master's of Fine Arts degree from LSU. He lived in Baton Rouge for the last 30 years. Bryan was a wonderful father and son who loved his daughters and his Dad above all else. Known for his creativity, he also was a talented professional artist and enjoyed making metal sculptures. His techniques and sculptures were featured on PBS, "Louisiana: The State We're In". Bryan was in numerous art exhibits and shows throughout the years in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, New Iberia, and Colorado. He is survived by his daughters Zoe Alexandra Watts and Avery Aaren Watts of Baton Rouge, his father John Bryan "Butch" Watts Jr. of New Iberia, his brother Gannon Joe Watts and wife Julie B. Watts of New Iberia, nephew John Cole Watts and Niece Laura Grace "Gracie" Watts of New Iberia; one aunt Donna LaBove of Cameron; three uncles, James Calvin Watts and wife Olga of Lake Charles, J.A. Miller and wife Ruby of Lake Charles and Wade Miller and wife Kathy of Moss Bluff; cousins, James Russell Watts and Roland James Roux of Lake Charles, Chris Mooney, Gabe LaLande and John Jay LaBove of Cameron and Joey and Jonathon Miller of Moss Bluff, Selika Egloff of Baton Rouge, Laura Bonner and Kenneth Joseph Roux Jr. of Houston; and a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be James Calvin Watts, Roland James Roux, John Cole Watts, JA Miller, Anthony Mooney, Nicholas James Molligan, and Jacob James Newgard. Honorary pallbearers will be Wade Miller and James Russell Watts. Condolences may be expressed online at www.davidfuneralhome.org.
