A native of Loreauville and resident of St. Martinville, "Pedro" as he was affectionately known, passed away on Thursday November 20, 2014 at 3:14am at a local hospital. He was an oilfield worker for 36 years and was currently employed with W and T Offshore. "Pedro" enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going to the casino and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Mr. Wilmer was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. During the holiday season, "Pedro" would purchase gifts for the less fortunate. He wouldn't let people go thru the holidays without a Christmas, and earned the nickname "Mr. Christmas". He was a warm, loving, and caring person that will be missed by many. Left to cherish his memory is his fiancée, Judy Theriot Girouard of St. Martinville; father, Wilmer "Black" Thibodeaux Sr. of St. Martinville; children, Amber Thibodeaux and companion Chad Gerard of Youngsville, Megan Thibodeaux of St. Martinville, Kaleb Thibodeaux of Loreauville, Ashley Girouard and fiancé Benji Gardemal of St. Martinville, Brittany Case and husband Dustin of St. Martinville; sisters, JoAnn Davis of Loreauville, Diane Carlson of Loreauville, Lisa Courville of Jeanerette; and grandchildren, Alexis Girouard, Cole Gerard, Alyssa Girouard, Jayden Patterson, Rylan Thibodeaux, and Colton Thibodeaux.
