ERATH - A Mass of Christian Burial for Joel Norman Hoffpauir, 48, will be 11:00AM Wednesday December 3, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath with Rev. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with recitation of a rosary at 7:00PM and will resume Wednesday from 8:00AM until service time. Joel, born in Kaplan and a resident of Erath passed away Sunday November 30, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was extremely dedicated and loyal to his family as well as his job as a Communications Technician with Verizon. He had a love for all sports especially NASCAR and baseball. Joel is survived by his wife Rachel Landry Hoffpauir of Erath, his parents Norman and Della Hoffpauir of Kaplan, four sons Dylon Joel Hoffpauir of Orlando,FL;Drake Sullivan Hoffpauir;Drew Cameron Hoffpauir and Dax Gabriel Hoffpauir all of Erath, one brother Wynn Patrick Hoffpauir and wife Melissa of Kaplan, one sister Julie Anne Hoffpauir of Lafayette, six nephews Joshua Hoffpauir of Kaplan;Jacob Broussard, Zachary Broussard both of Abbeville, Tristan Migues, Cooper Migues, and Gaven Landry all of Erath, four nieces Callie Granger Gallet and husband Shane of Youngsville, Hannah Foreman, Haley Forman, and Kennedi Landry all of Erath. Serving as Pallbearers are Joe Don Touchet, Brandon Landry, Wynn Hoffpauir, Joshua Hoffpauir, Tristan Migues, and Jacob Broussard. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Granger, Joe Broussard, Shane Migues, Cooper Migues, Gaven Landry, Shane Gallet and Michael Touchet.
