Abbeville - Funeral services will be held for Linus Touchet, 69, will be held Tuesday December 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Father Keith Landry will officiate. Burial will follow in Petry Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday December 8, from 3:00PM until time of services. Linus a native of Kaplan and a resident of Forked Island passed away Sunday December 7,2014 at his residence in Forked Island. Survivors include the mother of his children Hazel Langlinais of Kaplan; his four sons Thomas and his wife Tina Touchet of Forked Island, Scott and his wife Tonya Touchet of Kaplan, James and companion Jo Ann Viator of New Iberia, Craig and his wife Radena Touchet of Nunez; his daughter Schlacey Stelly of Forked Island; three brothers Minus, Mark, and Paul Touchet all of Kaplan; and one sister Jane Greene of Kaplan; fourteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Linus was preceded in death by his parents Hypolite and Eve Suire Touchet; one sister Rose Touchet; and three brothers John, Thomas, and Peter.
