New Iberia- A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Elmae Hebert Pesson, age 94, will be held on Saturday December 20, 2014 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church at 11:00am with Father Donavan Labbe and Father Charles Langlois to serve as the Celebrants with musical accompaniment by Karen Guidry. Reading from scripture will be Valerie Pesson and Heather Moore. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will begin on Friday December 19, 2014 at David Funeral Home of New Iberia at 5:00pm and conclude at 9:00pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 8:00am until service time. A native of Patoutville and longtime resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Pesson passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday December 17, 2014 at 12:07pm. Mrs. Pesson was a member of the Iberia Parish Farm Bureau and a 50 year member of the Lydia Homemakers Club. She enjoyed making porcelain dolls, sewing, gardening, baking, canning and preserving foods, and loved chocolate. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also a devout Catholic and attended Saturday Mass on a regular basis. Survivors include her children, Katherine Boudreaux and husband Neddy, Carl Pesson and wife Christine, and Charlotte Moore all of New Iberia; grandchildren, Kevin Boudreaux of San Angelo, TX, Craig Boudreaux and wife Chantelle of Gonzales, Valerie Pesson of Dublin, OH, Hillary Pesson and spouse Angela Lamb of Memphis, TN, Carter Pesson of Baton Rouge, Heather Richardson of New Iberia and significant other Michael Benard, Rebecca Richardson and husband Joel of Zachary, and Hal Moore of Lafayette; great grandchildren, Emily, Katie, and Maggie Boudreaux, Oliva and Andrew Richardson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Henry Pesson; parents, Sidney Hebert Sr. and Julia Hebert; sisters, Ella Hebert, Annette Ladoucer, Lucy Judice, Julia Stevens, Marguerite Hebert, Maude Hebert, and Clara Jean Palmer; brothers, Derise Hebert, Michel Hebert, Sidney Hebert Jr., Freddie Hebert, Nelson Hebert, and Jimmie Hebert; and one grandson, Cliff Boudreaux. Serving as Pallbearers are Kevin Boudreaux, Craig Boudreaux, Carter Pesson, Carl Pesson, Hal Moore, and Hillary Pesson. Honorary Pallbearers are Valerie Pesson, Rebecca Moore, and Heather Moore. The family would like to thank Lois Blanchard, and all of Mrs. Pesson's friends that stayed in touch with her thru the years for all the love given to her.
