New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Percy Van Brocklin, Jr., 84, on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 1:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Chris Doumit officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 AM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Van Brocklin passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at 9:45 AM in a Jeanerette nursing facility. Mr. Van Brocklin was sugar cane farmer and a truck driver in the oil field industry. He loved his family especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Kerry Van Brocklin and his wife Marcia of New Iberia; his daughters, Vicki Talbot and her husband John of Cypress, TX and Angela Van Brocklin of Breaux Bridge; his brother, Leroy Van Brocklin of New Iberia; his sister, Delores Broussard of New Iberia; his grandchildren, Neil Michael Van Brocklin, Jarrod Paul Van Brocklin, Amy Talbot, Susan Kent and Mallory Jeannice and his great grandchildren, Morgan Fernandez and McKenzie Kent. He was preceded in death by his wife, Erlene Romero Van Brocklin; his father, Percy Van Brocklin, Sr. and his mother, Palmire Trahan Van Brocklin and his son Ronald James Van Brocklin.
