New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Sherry A. Lopez, 83, on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at 4:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Patrick Burke officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, from 9:30 AM until 4:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 2:00 PM. A native of Lafayette and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lopez passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2014, at 10:45 AM at his residence. He was the owner and manager of KNIR Radio. He was an avid Golfer, loved fishing, duck hunting and spending time with his family. He served in the Louisiana Army National Guard. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Gaelyn Melancon Lopez of New Iberia; his sons, William Lopez and his wife Sue, Scott Lopez and his wife Mary and Marc Lopez and his wife Paige all of New Iberia; his daughters, Susan LeBlanc and her husband Shane of New Iberia and Anne Lopez and her companion Eric Markovics of Riverside, CA; his sister, Barbara Naomi of Lafayette; his brother, Jack Lopez of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Steven Lopez, Amy Rhoades, Ryan Lopez, Sherri Livesay, Blake Lopez, Matthew Lopez, Marcus Lopez, Brooke Bouy, Britney Alleman, Marie Pulido, Kayla Pulido, Braylin Lopez and Brianna Lopez and his great grandchildren, Cade Rhoades, Noah Landry, Emma-Claire Livesay and Carson Livesay. He was preceded in death by his father, Esbel Paul Lopez; his mother, Amy Hebert Lopez and his sons Bryan Lopez and Paul Lopez.
