Maudie Carter Hutchins

Maudie Carter Hutchins lived 103 years and has now gone to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She attributed her long life to His Grace. She passed away on December 30, 2014, at Maison du Monde Living Center. Born September 27, 1911 in Conroe, Texas, she was the daughter of Elizabeth and David Carter. She was married in 1936 to Jack Hutchins and had four children. Maudie lived a long, healthy life, enriching her family and others. She was known for her great cooking and baking skills. Preceded in death by her husband, parents and all siblings, her legacy consists of two daughters; Sylvia Hudson and husband Merle., Judy Camel and husband Jim, two sons, Jerry Hutchins and wife Kathy and David Hutchins. She also has eight grandchildren, Curtis Hudson, Dana Camel, Jack Camel, Jean Hutchins, Steven Hutchins, Ashley Hutchins, Katherine Hutchins, and Jeffrey Hutchins as well as seven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Maison du Monde and Bridgeway Hospice for the gentle, loving care given to Mother. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a private memorial service with interment at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
