Lafayette - Memorial services will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette Monday January 26, 2015 at 2:00PM for Terry Dewayne Townley, age 59, who passed away at Lafayette General Medical Center Saturday January 18, 2015. Visitation will be on Monday January 26, 2015 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at the funeral home. Mr. Townley was a native of Athens, TX and a resident of Lafayette, La. He enjoyed many different genres of music, and could almost recite all of the lyrics back to after listening to the song just once. Terry was also an accomplished dancer. People use to clear the way just to watch him move across the dance floor. One of his most favorite things that he owned was his motorcycle. He enjoyed driving all across country on rally rides. Mr. Townley was also an exceptional golfer. Terry was a very generous man and would give up anything if you needed it, and very much a free spirit. He is greatly loved by his family and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his three sons; Jacob Townley and wife Shelly of San Antonio, TX, Joshua Townley, of Baton Rouge, and Jared Townley of San Antonio, TX, one daughter; Katherine Townley of Youngsville, mother; Betty Pagitt Townley of Lafayette, and one brother; Gary Townley of Quitman, TX, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Glenn Maurice Townley. In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Mr. Terry Townley to Lafayette General Foundation, 1214 Coolidge St. Lafayette, La 70503. The Family would also extend a special thanks to Dr. Rees and the nursing staff at Lafayette General who attended Terry.
