Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Walter Fitch, Sr., the former Lena Armentor Fitch, 95, on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Mark Derise officiating. Interment will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at 8:00 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. A native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Fitch passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at 4:50 AM in a local hospital. Mrs. Fitch and her husband were co-owners of Fitch's Meat Market in Jeanerette. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She loved going to the casino, play cards and Pokeno. She is survived by her son, Walter Fitch, Jr. of Baton Rouge; her daughter, Lois F. Darden and her husband Don of Charenton; her brothers, Lloyd and Donald Armentor both of Coteau; her daughter-in-law, Susan Landry of New Iberia; her son-in-law, Kenneth Landry, Sr. of Jeanerette; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Fitch, Sr.; her father, Laurent Armentor; her mother, Eunice Fremin Armentor; her son, Huey P. Fitch, Sr.; her daughter, Connie F. Landry; her brothers, Perfice, Fulton, Rene, Sim, Simon and Allen Armentor; her sisters, Lily Kern Hammons, Edith Myers, Nola Bodin, Sologne LeBlanc and Vernette Segura and her grandchild, Eugene Fitch. Pallbearers will be Huey Paul Fitch, Jr., Hunter Fitch, Corey Landry, Mike Rogers, Jacob Rogers, Coy Fitch and Walter Fitch, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Landry, Don Darden, Eric Landry, Russell Rung, Robbie Savoy and Stephen Landry. The family would like to thank her caregivers, her niece Judy Thibodeaux, Jenny Billot and Judy Bullard and the doctors and staff at Iberia Medical Center.
