Lafayette - A Celebration of Life Mass will be held for Joanna K. Phillips, 81, on Saturday January 31, 2015 at 1:00PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Broussard, with Fr. Bill Ruskoski officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday January 31, 2015 from 10:00 AM until services. Mrs. Phillips was a native of Houston Texas and a resident of Youngsville; she passed away Tuesday January 27, 2015 at Lafayette General Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 60 years Frank Phillips; her children Joe and his wife Megg Phillips and their children Dan and his wife Shannon and Rachael Phillips, Cindy and her husband Randy Morgan, Paul and his wife Pam Phillips, and their children Lauren, Tyler and Austin Phillips, Jennifer and her husband Saul Savoie, and their daughter Samantha, and Chuck and his former wife Suwanna Higdon and their children Lance and his wife Noelle, Kacie, and Sean Higdon. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Lexie Phillips, Chandler Broussard, and Lydia Higdon. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents John and Anna Marie Pecha Kountz; her brothers John and Earl Kountz.
