Forked Island - A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas James Touchet, 46, will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Fr. Keith Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Pitrey Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Friday, January 30, 2015 beginning at 4:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. The funeral home will remain open all night until the time of service on Saturday, January 31, 2015. A native of Kaplan and a resident of Forked Island, Mr. Touchet died at 12:40AM on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Abbeville General Hospital. He was employed at Broussard Brothers Inc. for over 24 years. He was known for his love for music, especially playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed camping and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Tina Broussard Touchet of Forked island; two sons, Tyler R. Touchet and his companion Lacey Becker of Forked Island and Trevor J. Touchet of Forked Island; his mother, Hazel Marceaux Langlinais; three brothers, Scott Touchet, James Touchet, and Craig Touchet; a sister, Schalacey Touchet; three grandchildren, Hayes Touchet, Kinsley Touchet, and Kaden Touchet; his mother-in-law, Mary Lee Broussard; and his beloved pet, Alli. He was preceded death by his father, Linus Touchet; and his father-in-law, Pervis Broussard. Serving as pallbearers will be James Touchet, Scott Touchet, Craig Touchet, Tyler Touchet, Trevor Touchet, Trey Stelly.
