New Iberia - Memorial services will be conducted for Marie Lee Flanagan, 92, on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Bullock officiating. A gathering of the family will be on Saturday, February 14, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A native of Millett, TX, a resident of New Iberia she passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2:19 AM in a Lafayette hospital. She resided most of her life in Bosco, LA as a farmer's wife and worked on the farm. She loved animals. Later in life she worked in local department stores. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, James W. "Jimmy" Flanagan and his wife Kathleen of New Iberia; her daughter, Jerry Faye Burton of San Bernadino, CA; her sister, Miriam Scalia of Monroe; her brothers, Benjamin Lee of Vancouver, Washington and Howard Lee of Flowood, MS; her grandchildren, Patrick Flanagan of Lafayette, Kerry Flanagan White and her husband Bryan of Houston, TX and Mary Burton of San Bernadino, CA; her great grandchildren, Christina Davis, Shane Burton and Richard Joyal and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Flanagan; her father, Moses Lee; her mother, Katie Gewin Lee; her brother, Moses L. Lee and her grandchild, Robert Burton.
