New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Dudley A. Marie, Jr., 90, on Thursday, February 12, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 12, 2015, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 9:15 AM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Marie passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015, at 2:10 PM at his residence. He was a Hair Stylist for over 70 years. He had many good friends and a large clientele. He took care of his mother until her passing. He loved his cat "Sweet Pea" and babysat "Jazzy" a Terrier. He is survived by his 1st cousin's, Ann Clasen and Patrick Weathersby; his 2nd cousin, Raine Zaunbrecher all of New Iberia; his 3rd cousin, Michelle Boyette of Youngsville and multiple friends and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dudley Marie, Sr. and his mother, Zella Froment Marie. Pallbearers will be Frankie Wellman, John Derouen, Jason Viator, Alphonse Boyette, Patrick Weathersby, Nicholas Viator. Honorary pallbearers will be Alfred "Smitty" Landry, Darcy Clasen and Bert Cestia.
