Youngsville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Aimee Vallot Durand, 66, will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, February 13, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Mouton officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, February 12, 2015 from 3:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the service. A native of Youngsville and a resident of Lafayette Mrs. Durand died at 11:50PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2015 at Lafayette General Medical Center. She was the baby of eleven children; an avid Saints Fan and was known for her enjoyment of cooking, working out, and gardening. She also worked at Clay's Health Club. All that knew her understood her children were a very important part of her life. She is survived by two sons, Paul A. Durand, Jr. and his wife Chastity of Lafayette and Steven M. Durand of Lafayette; a daughter, Claudette M. Durand of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Lexie Nicole, Ryleigh Nicole and Paul A. Durand, III. all of Lafayette; three brothers, Mickey Vallot of Youngsville, Anthony Vallot of California, and Michael Vallot of Lafayette; and a sister, Shirley Hoffpauir of Garland, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Albert and Aimee Pormier Vallot; a son, Charles Matthew Durand; a brother, Joseph Vallot; five sisters, Verna Brooks, Thelma Jones, Mae Pearl Broussard, Florence Hicks, and "Della" Virginia Rudd. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael R. Vallot, Ian Thomas Bertrand, Joe Vallot, Anthony Vallot, Scott Breaux and Andrew M. Vallot. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at River Oaks retirement Manor for the compassionate care they gave Mrs. Durand.
