Loreauville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Percy Segura, the former Cheryl Ann Laviolette will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Reading from scripture will be Cora Thibedeaux and Renee LeBlanc. Gift bearers include: Kelbie Badeaux, Cora Thibedeaux, Hannah Segura, Sadie LeBlanc, Katie LeBlanc, and Tia Breaux. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 1:00pm until 9:00pm, with a recitation of the Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 7:30am until the time of service. A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Cheryl, or "Te-Ta" as she was affectionately known, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. "Te-Ta" lovingly took care of those she loved including her husband, children, late mother, late aunt, and late mother and father in law. She also loved to play "Pokeno" and creating arts and crafts. "Te-Ta" enjoyed watching soap operas, "The Young and the Restless" being one of her favorites. She also was a fan of watching the Saints play, and Nascar races. Being a devout Catholic, Mrs. Cheryl served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph Catholic Church for a number of years. She will be remembered for a big heart that overflowed with love for friends and family. She is survived by her husband of Forty-four years, Mr. Percy Segura of New Iberia; daughter Lynette Badeaux and husband Jason of Loreauville; son Troy Segura and fiancée Renee LeBlanc of Loreauville; son Benjamin "Benji" Segura and wife Jennifer of Coteau; grandchildren: Kelbie Badeaux, Cole Badeaux, Kaden Badeaux, Cora Thibodeaux and fiancé Nick Lancon, Hannah Segura, Nicholas Segura, Sadie LeBlanc, Katie LeBlanc, Hunter LeBlanc, Alex Segura, Quinton Hull, and Tia Breaux; one great-grandchild on the way, Mason Lancon; sister Sally Laviolette Dauphine and husband Clifton for Loreauville; brothers Dennis "Danny Boy" Laviolette Jr of Loreauville, and Matthew Laviolette Sr. and wife Cora of Loreauville; godmother Mazel "Nan" Breaux and husband Randall Sr. of St. Martinville; and many close friends especially Mrs. Rena and Nick LeBlanc of Abbeville. She is preceded in death by her parents Dennis Laviolette Sr. and Joyce Chataignier Laviolette; brother Jody Laviolette, mother-in-law Lois Segura, and father in law Alton Segura. The Honor of serving as Pallbearer will be upheld by Troy Segura, Ben Segura, Jason Badeaux, and her godsons, Randall Breaux, Jr. Clifton Dauphine, Jr. and Brandon Segura. Honorary Pallbearers include: Cole Badeaux, Kaden Badeaux, Nicholas Segura, Alex Segura, Hunter LeBlanc, and Quinton Hull.
