Judy Veazey Stroud

New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Judy Veazey Stroud, 66, on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Denton, Pastor of Highland Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, February 23, 2015, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Stroud passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at 3:00 AM in a New Iberia hospital. She was a Loving Mother and Grandmother. She is survived by her son, Darren Stroud and his wife Chris of New Iberia; her daughter, Tina Meyers and her husband Todd of Brandon, MS; her grandsons, Trent and Trevor Meyers both of Brandon, MS; her granddaughters, Abbey Stroud of New Iberia and Tori Meyers of Brandon, MS; her brother, Ronnie Veazey of Arizona; her sister, Jean Ardoin of Carencro; her companion, Walter "Gene" Meaux of New Iberia; her step-son, Troy Meaux of McGehee, AR; her step-daughter, Denise McAnally of New Iberia; five step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Paul Stroud; her father, Whitney Veazey; her mother, Lucille Broussard Veazey and her brothers, Jimmy and Joe Veazey. Pallbearers will be Trent and Trevor Meyers, Darren and Gerald Stroud, Troy Meaux, Troy McAnally and Brandon Derouen. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Meyers, Walter "Gene" Meaux, Joey and Chad Veazey.
