Emma Comeaux

New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Emma Comeaux, 90, on Friday, March 13, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Nicholas Dupre officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Abbeville. Visitation will be on Friday, March 13, 2015, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Mrs. Comeaux grew up and lived in Abbeville until the age of 43 and in 1967 moved to New Iberia where she spent the remainder of her life. She passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 10:43 AM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She was a License Practical Nurse and after retirement from her nursing career, she became a proud business owner. She owned and operated Emma's Lounge in New Iberia for many years. She loved watching TV and especially loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Primeaux Schneider and her husband Michael of Metairie, Cindy Primeaux Summerfield and her husband Raymond of New Brunsfels, TX, Ronnie Primeaux, Jr. of Mamou and Sharon Primeaux of New Iberia; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Lauren and Jane Schneider, Tyler Settle, Meghan Summerfield, Amber Primeaux, Chris and Jason Menard and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Theonise Comeaux; her mother, Ozite Broussard Comeaux; her daughter, Verna Gale Schexnaider and her brother, Amos Comeaux. Pallbearers will be Jackson Schneider, Tyler Settle, Chris Menard, Jason Menard and Mike Schneider.
