New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Milton Bailey, 86, on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Broussard Cemetery in Bayou Petite Anse. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Friday, March 20, 2015, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM. A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Bailey passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 1:07 PM in a New Iberia nursing facility. He worked at Trappey's Fine Foods for 21 years and then he managed the Diamond Shamrock Station in New Iberia for 20 years. He loved camping and fishing. He is survived by his sons, Michael Bailey and his wife Cyndi and Charles Bailey and his wife Lisa all of New Iberia; his daughter, Penny Goodrich of New Iberia; his brothers, Walter and Francis Bailey both of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Toby and Jason Bailey both of New Iberia, David Bailey of Venice, Benji Labiche of Crowley, John Edwards of Cade, Kristy Dautreuil of Breaux Bridge, Thomas and Gerald Leblanc both of New Iberia, Kelly Emonet and Tanya Goodrich both of New Iberia and his great grandchildren, Justin, Payton, Ethan and Kayla Bailey, Austin and Wyatt Edwards, Parker and Evan Labiche, Madison and Tyler Bailey, Ella Grace Dautreuil, Bayly Emonet and Paige Elizabeth Leblanc. He was preceded in death by his wife, Verline Rita Broussard Bailey; his father, Lawless Bailey; his mother, Ada Desormeaux Bailey; his son, Melvin Bailey; his brothers, Percy, Ivy, Jerry and Jimmy Bailey and his sister, Mary Jane Bailey Romero. Pallbearers will be Toby, Jason and David Bailey, Benji Labiche, Thomas and Gerald Leblanc. Honorary pallbearers will be Justin, Payton and Ethan Bailey.
