Edith "Maw" Vincent Mallet

April 30, 1926 — March 18, 2015

Lafayette - Funeral services will be conducted for Edith Vincent Mallet, 88, on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jay Bergeron officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Saturday at 11:00 AM. A native of Lafayette, a resident of New Iberia and a former resident of Coteau, Mrs. Mallet passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 5:45 PM in a New Iberia nursing facility. She was a wonderful cook, loved crafts and music. She loved her family very much. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Mallet Romero and her husband Russell of Coteau; her daughter-in-law, Dorothy Bourque Mallet of Mountain View, AR; her grandchildren, Erick John Romero, Christopher James Romero both of Coteau, Rolanda Chantel Rangel of Broussard and Edith Charmaine Musemeche of Sarasota, FL and fifteen great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Joseph Mallet; her father, Adrian Vincent; her mother, Anita Baudoin Vincent; her sons, Donald James Mallet, Sr. and Patrick Andrew Mallet; her brother, Kossuth Vincent, Sr.; her sister, Editha Vincent Verret and her grandchild, Donald James Mallet, Jr. Pallbearers will be Erick and Christopher Romero, Connie Guidry, Gabriel Rangel, I, Kossuth "Country" Vincent, Jr. and A. J. Vincent. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Romero, Donald and Robert Green and Melvin Simon. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to defray funeral expenses.
