Graveside Service for Mr.Armand David Frank, 90, will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery in Abbeville, Louisiana on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 11:00AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Paris, TX at 11:00AM on Monday, March 30, 2015 with Father Anthony Stoeppel as celebrant. The Rosary will be held at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home on Sunday evening, March 29, 2015 at 6:00 PM with visitation to follow. A native of Abbeville and a resident of Paris, TX Mr. Frank died at 2:54 AM, Friday, March 27, 2015 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Armand was born December 26, 1924 in Abbeville, Louisiana to Francois David and Lena Langlinais Frank. He received his bachelor's degree from LSU and served his country in the United States Navy as a pilot during World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Frank married Betty Marie Christianson on October 1, 1949 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was a store manager for Sears for many years prior to his retirement. He was active in many civic organizations including Rotary International, Boy Scouts of America, the Salvation Army, and Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Paris Golf and Country Club, Sigma Chi Fraternity and received his ROTC training. Mr. Frank was a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty Frank; four children, Armand David Frank, Jr., Walter Edward Frank, John Andrew Frank, and Susan Marie Frank Knipper; eight grandchildren, Greg and Grady Frank, Nicholas and Lena Frank, Ryan and Dylan Frank, and C.J. and Joe Knipper; six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leonard Frank of New Orleans, Louisiana.
