Erath - A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marlin Landry, the former Elaine Joyce LeBlanc, will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11:00AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Erath. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David's Funeral Home, 209 East Putnam Street in Erath, La. on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM with the Catholic Daughters rosary at 5:00PM and a Vigil Service at 7:00PM . The following morning visitation will resume at 8:00AM till time of service at 11:00AM. Mrs. Landry was born on September 20, 1928, and she passed away April 9, 2015 at Regional Medical Center of Lafayette, LA. A native of Henry, LA. and long time resident of Erath, she had been a resident of Lafayette for the last 14 years. She is survived by her two children; Michael Roy "Mike" Landry and his fiance' Lilly Smith and Marla Rose Landry Dubois and her husband Mickey. She is also survived by her devoted and loyal friend Jay Broussard and his family. Her husband of 53 years, Marlin "Sag" Landry, preceded her in death on February 5, 2000. Also preceding in death were her parents, Rose Broussard and Robert LeBlanc; mother-in-law Lola Boudreaux Stansbury; grandparents Leontine and Aristide Broussard and Marie and Eugene LeBlanc. Mike and Marla wish to extend their special thanks to their mother's long-time caregiver, Joycelyn Carter. We will forever be grateful for the love and support of our friends and neighbors. In a sense, we have not only lost our mother, we've lost a real good friend who loved, and lived life to the fullest. Pallbearers will be: Julian Hinckley, Warren Perrin, Keith Hardy, Kermit Bouillion, Kermit Blanchette and Kenneth Blanchette. Honorary pallbearers are Oswald Broussard, Rodney Dugas, Carlin Trahan, Joseph Baudoin, Norman Broussard, Elwood Broussard, and Lee Bernard. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made in Mrs. Landry's name to the American Heart Association. David Funeral Home of Erath will be in charge of the arrangements.
