Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for Widley J. "Pop" Louviere, Sr., 81, on Monday, April 20, 2015, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Paul Onuegbe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, April 20, 2015, from 9:00 AM until the service time and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. A native of St. Martin Parish and a resident of Loreauville, Mr. Louviere passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at 12:22 AM in a Lafayette hospital. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a U.S. Army Paratrooper. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0335 and a Lifetime Member of the DAV. He was a Scout Master for Troop 14 in Loreauville and his hobbies were gardening, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ondina Grivat Louviere of Loreauville; his sons, Larry Louviere and his wife Charlene of Breaux Bridge, James "Jimmy" Louviere of Keller, TX and Widley "Joe" Louviere, Jr. and his wife Tracy of Loreauville; his daughter, Dawn L. Crum and her husband Charlie of New Iberia; his brother, Senac Louviere of Loreauville; his sisters, Virginia V. Landry and Shirley V. Frederick both of Loreauville; his grandchildren, Josh Louviere, Nicholas Louviere, Jamie Poceau, Alex Louviere, Maddie Louviere, Jolyn Louviere, Noah Louviere, Carlie Crum and Brandi Crum and his great grandchildren, Kristin, Gage, Brayden, Connor and Kaelyn and his future great grandchild, Presley Faye. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lumina Albert Louviere; his infant twin sons: his brothers, Paul, Robert, Luke and Luden "Chute" Louviere; his sister, Orela "Dade" L. Bernis and his adoptive parents, Lezin and Marie C. Rodriguez. Pallbearers will be Larry Louviere, James Louviere, Widley "Joe" Louviere, Jr., Mike Murphy, Josh Louviere and Nick Louviere. Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Crum, Derrel Louviere, Alex Louviere and the entire Ebarb Family at the Nations.
