Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for Kimberly Eve Decuir, 24, on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Buddy Breaux officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at 9:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. A native of New Iberia and a resident of Loreauville, Kimberly passed away on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 3:10 PM in a Lafayette hospital. She was an Honor Student and a 2009 Graduate of Loreauville High School. She was captain of the Cheerleading Squad, selected as an All American Cheerleader in 2008 and 2009 and performed at the Capitol Bowl in Orlando, FL. She was active in Swimming and Gymnastics. She fought a brave battle with mental illness for six and a half years. She is survived by her parents, Byron J. Decuir and Rose Anne Dugas Decuir of Loreauville; her sister, Jana Angelle and her husband Ron of Loreauville; her brothers, Michael P. Decuir and his wife Lauren of Lafayette, Benjamin M. Decuir of New Iberia and Christopher J. Decuir and his wife Annie of Broussard; her nephews, Cameron, Kale, Landon and Aiden Decuir, Ascher Carhart, her godchild and nephew, Eli Angelle and her nephew, Dylan Angelle; her nieces, Addison Decuir and Jillian Angelle and her special aunt, Penny Decuir of Loreauville. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nolan and Annette Dugas and her paternal grandparents, Lester and Grace Decuir. Pallbearers will be Michael Decuir, Benjamin Decuir, Christopher Decuir, Ron Angelle, Shane Dugas and Dumas Dugas, Jr. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, Cameron Decuir, Kale Decuir, Landon Decuir, Eli Angelle, Dylan Angelle and Ascher Carhart.
