Etta Broussard Touchet

April 10, 1930 — May 3, 2015

Youngsville- A liturgical word service for Etta Rita Broussard Touchet, 85, will be held on Wednesday, May 06, 2015 at 1:00PM in St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. Deacon Cody Miller will officiate at the services. Reader will be Margaret Toups. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of times of services. Entombment will follow in St. Ann Cemetery in Youngsville. Mrs. Touchet was a lifelong resident of Youngsville and a parishioner of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. She was married to the late Frank Touchet for over thirty seven years. Mrs. Etta was a beautician for over forty seven years and owned her own beauty shop called Etta's Beauty Shop. She enjoyed visiting everyone and cooking for all. Mrs. Touchet was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Touchet and his wife, Karen, of Youngsville, Frank Touchet and his wife, Carmen of Indian Bayou and one daughter, Annette Eschette of Youngsville, one sister, Beulah Toups, nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Ms. Touchet was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Touchet, son, Douglas Touchet and daughter in law, Susan Touchet. Serving as pallbearers will be, Adam Touchet, Aaron Touchet, Chad Toups, Brent Toups,, Glenn Gallet and Phillip Gallet. Honorary pallbearers will be Herman Toups and Chester Trahan. David Funeral Home of Lafayette, 316 Youngsville Hwy 337-837-9887 is in charge of arrangements.
