New Iberia - Wallace James Tauzin, age 61, passed away at a local hospital on May 22, 2015 at 3:40am. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A native of Lafayette and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Tauzin worked at Aramark Offshore as a galley hand for thirteen years. During his free time, he enjoyed building models from Star Trek and tending to his much loved collection of indoor and outdoor potted plants. He enjoyed listening to music, eating his favorite food bacon, and baking his much loved pecan pies. Wallace will be missed dearly. Mr. Tauzin is survived by his partner Walter Lunet of Lydia; his sister Sheryl Pugh and husband Damon of Lafayette; Brothers Nelson Tauzin and wife Phyllis of Rayne; Paul Guidry of Carencro; Norman Tauzin of Scott; Cornel Comeaux of Scott; James Comeaux; and Robert Comeaux, both of Baton Rouge. He is preceded in death by his mother Bernice Guidry Tauzin Comeaux; his father Norris Tauzin; and brother Gerald Tauzin. Those wishing to express condolences can sign the online guestbook.
