Adeline Rome Migues

September 29, 1930 — May 22, 2015

"Loving mother and grandmother" Jeanerette - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mrs. Adeline Migues, the former Adeline Rome, age 84, on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 10:00 am at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux serving as the Celebrant with musical accompaniment by Stephanie Hoffpauir. Interment will follow at St. John Mausoleum in Jeanerette. Visitation will begin on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at 11:00 am and will conclude at 9:00 pm with the recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, May 25, 2015 at 8:00 am until time of service. A native of Vacherie and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs Migues passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 4:45 pm. Mrs. Migues was a Seamstress for Jeanerette Mills for over 20 years and enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, vacationing with friends, sewing, loved to shop and enjoyed spending time with her daughters. She is survived by her son, Bradford Migues, Sr. and wife Margo of Jeanerette; daughters, Melinda Collins and husband Englove Collins, Jr. of Jeanerette, Susan Moresi of Baldwin and companion Travis Cole, and Arlene Boutte and husband Shelton Boutte, Sr. of New Iberia; grandchildren, Bradford Migues, Jr. and wife Jill of New Iberia, Cheree Migues of New Iberia, Justin Collins and fiancée Katelyn Lormand of Jeanerette, Amy Moresi Evans and husband Grayson of Loreauville, David Moresi, Jr. of Baldwin, Leslie Albishi and husband B. T. of Dallas, Mallory Bourque and husband Joey of New Iberia, Shelton Boutte, Jr. and wife Kelsey of Jeanerette, and Laschel Colbert and husband Megail of New Iberia, Chris Migues and wife Chandy. sisters, Doris Richardel and husband Fred of LaRose; brother, LeRoy Rome and wife Bertha of Vacherie; and 23great-grand children. Mrs. Migues was preceded in death by her husband, Relius C Migues; parents, Frank and Myrtle Scienoeaux Rome; brothers, Clifton Rome, Tilman Rome, Lloyd Rome, Harry Rome, Eddie Rome and T-Frank Rome; sisters, Florence Oubre, Rosemary Rome and Lucy Hymel; grandsons, Joshua and Shaun Collins.
