Lafayette - Funeral services for Brent Lovell Clements, 69, will be held Wednesday June 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM in David Funeral Home, with Father Bill Ruskoski associate Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in St. Anne Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 2, 2015 from 10:00AM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM, and will continue Wednesday from 8:00AM until services. A native of Morgan city and a resident of Youngsville Brent passed away Sunday May 31, 2015 at his residence in Youngsville. Brent was a graduate of Morgan City High School Class of 1964, then went on to complete his education at Nicholas State University. He was retired from Linear Controls , and was also employed by Aramco. Brent was a Veteran of the US Army having served in Vietnam he was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His hobbies included going to the casino, watching old cowboy and war movies but what he enjoyed most was calling all of his family each and every day. Survivors include his wife Glenda Ghirardi Clements of Youngsville; two daughters Lisa Poirrier of New Iberia, and Carla Joubert of Lafayette; his son Brent S. Clements of Youngsville; sisters Kim and her husband Edward Gils, Cindy and her husband Mike Willis, and Trudy and her husband Butch Brinlee. Brent was also survived by six grandchildren, Laikyn Joubert, Layton Joubert, Kailyn LeBlanc, Chandler LeBlanc, Isabella Poirrier and Breece Clements and 2 great grandchildren, Rowen Gomez and Remi Gomez. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Melissa Clements; his parents Kemp and Stella Courtney Clements; and one sister June Hardgenx. Serving as pallbearers will be Brent S. Clements, Chandler LeBlanc, Layton Joubert, Tobie Joubert, Peter Ghirardi, and Ronnie Ghirardi.
