Youngsville - Funeral Services for Mr. Alfred "Al" Lee Berger, 50, will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, June 11, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. A native of Port Lavca, TX and a resident of Youngsville Mr. Berger died Tuesday, June 7, 2015 at his residence. He was employed with Jacob Entertainment for the past 7 years. Mr. Al was known for his enjoyment of cooking, fishing, French music, old western movies, baseball, and was an avid Saints fan. He was also a drummer in a band. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Jana Babin Berger of Youngsville; a son, Christopher Hughes of Broussard; two daughters, Taisha Wilson and her husband Chance of San Antonio, TX and Tiffany Hughes and her fiancé John Girouard of Kaplan; a brother, David Berger of Victoria, TX; two sisters, Karen Huvar and her husband Michael and Sue Wilms and her husband Gaylon both of Victoria, TX; his pet, "Harley"; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, David James and Reba Nell Willborn Berger; and a sister in law, Gloria Berger. Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Huvar, Darrell Hulin, John Girouard, Chance Wilson, Christopher Hughes, and Gaylon Wilms. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Hunter Wilson. David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy. (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
