Lafayette- Memorial services will be held for Ruby Garcia, 67, on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Youngsville with Rev. Chris Fuselier. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 2:30 PM until time of Memorial Service. A native of Rayville, LA and a resident of Lafayette, Mrs. Garcia passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 3:30 AM at Lafayette General Hospital. Mrs. Garcia was a LPN and a veteran with the United States Army. She is survived by her son, Raymond "Ray" Garcia of Commerce, Colorado; daughters, Dawn Garcia of Houston, TX and Jill Cox of Natchitoches, LA; brothers, Edward "Ed" Morgan, J. L. Morgan, Benny Morgan, Leamon Morgan and Lavell Morgan; sisters, Jan Hopkins, Cora Dowler, Ora Moser, Mary Potter and Ana Morgan; grandchildren, Ashley Silk, Alexander Coffield, Bryant Silk, Britney Coffield, Ally Garcia and Mitchell Garcia; two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Raul Garcia; parents, Lessie Morgan and Cordia Louise Tanner; brothers, Robert Morgan and Charlie Morgan.
