Erath - Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marie "Sis" Romero, 92, will be at 2:00PM, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Rev. Bill Melancon officiant. Interment will follow in LeBlanc Cemetery in LeBlanc Community. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home on Monday, June 22, 2015 from 9:00AM until time of service with the recitation of the rosary at 11:00AM. Mrs. Romero was a native and resident of Erath. She also was a Manager for Carrets Drive Inn in New Iberia for over 20 years. Her passions included the daily bingo games, playing cards and babysitting for the grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Larry Romero and his wife Charlotte of Erath; grandchildren, Sean Romero and his wife Bridgette of Erath, Scott Romero and his wife Parrish of Broussard and Shelby Romero of Erath; great-grandchildren; Shealee Simons and her husband Tanden of Erath, Jacy Romero of Morganton, NC, Brooklyn Romero of Youngsville, Reese Romero of Broussard and Camron McIntyre of Erath; great great-grandchildren; Emery Simons and Taye Simons of Erath. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years Stanley J. Romero; and parents, Paul and Anite Bourque Delahoussaye.
