Charlene Turner Brashear

November 19, 1927 — June 22, 2015

Lafayette - Funeral services for Charlene Turner Brashear, 87, will be held on Thursday,June 25, 2015, at 1:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Weldon Moak officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, visitation will be held Wednesday June 24,2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will resume on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service. Charlene was a native of Beggs, OK and a resident of Lafayette. She passed away Monday,June 22, 2015 at her residence. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Broussard, and is a former member of the Deaf Church of Acadiana. She was always cheerful and had a smile on her face. Charlene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will always be remembered by her loving smile. Survivors include her husband Harold Brashear of Lafayette; her two daughters Teresa B.and her husband Errol J. Robichaux of Broussard, Belinda B. and her husband KirkThibodeaux of Broussard; three sons, Thomas and his wife Linda Brashear of Arnaudville,Doyle Brashear of Lafayette and Brian Brashear of Lafayette. She is also survived hergrandchildren, Jerred Brashear, Derek and his wife Sy Brashear, Kris Brashear all ofArnaudville, Holly and her husband Justin Sain of Bossier LA, Stephanie and her husbandKevin Robinson, Courtney and her husband Michael Aymond and Lani Robichaux, all ofBroussard; her great grandchildren Harrison, Gabby, Parker, Jonah, Sophia, and Brodey Brashear, Morgan and Macy Sain, Parker and Evelyn Robinson and Paige Aymond. She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Letha Meadows Turner. Serving as pallbearers will be Derek Brashear, Kris Brashear, Errol Robichaux, Kirk Thibodeaux, Kevin Robinson and Mike Aymond. Honorary pallbearer will be Johnny Brashear. The Brashear family wishes to express special thanks to Heart of Hospice and especially Sara, Felicia, Nell, and Halle'.
