Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for Melissa Gary Viator, 55, on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Paul Onuegbe officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM. A rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. A native of Lafayette and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Viator passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015, at 12:54 AM at her residence. Melissa and her childhood sweetheart, Ophe were married for 38 years and together raised three wonderful children. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she loved to cook, bake, crocheting, gardening, animals and making rosaries. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ophe J. Viator of Loreauville; her mother, Margie Sonnier Gary of Broussard; her children, Crystal Delahoussaye and her husband Derick of Grand Marais, Misty Robin and her husband Warren and Toby Viator and his wife Audrey all of Loreauville; her brothers, Ray Gary and his wife Dawn of Youngsville and Glenn Gary and his wife Jackie of Erath and her grandchildren, Ty Robin, Nicole Robin, Brittany Robin, Graci Viator, Khloe Viator, Jaxon Viator and Jordan Viator. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph P. Gary. Pallbearers will be Toby Viator, Warren Sam Robin, Ray Gary, Glenn Gary, Alan Robin and Ty Robin. Honorary pallbearers will be Derick Delahoussaye, Jaret Gary, Jake Gary, Justin Gary and Scott LeBlanc.
