New Iberia - Funeral services for Mrs. Jacqueline "Jackie" Migues, age 73, will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 1:00pm at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Minister David Verret and Reverend Chester Hills serving as the Celebrants. Burial will follow at the United Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Cypremort Point. Visitation will begin on Tuesday morning at 8:00 am and continue until service time. A native of Jeanerette, "Jackie" as she was known to friends and family, loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She could often be found lost in a good book due to her love of reading, and always enjoyed caring for others. She would spend her time working for Arc of Acadiana sitting with the disabled and kept them company. She worked for over 15 years as an answering service representative for multiple answering service agencies. She was survived by her sons, Kaven Migues and wife Donna Migues of Denham Springs; Kendall Migues and Caleb Migues; her sister Elizabeth Verret Henry; seven grand children; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Migues; her father Reverend Mitless Verret; her mother Ida Belle Borel Verret; her brother Reverend Elisha Verret; and sister Yvonne Verret Kelly.
