Erath - Funeral Services for Mr. Warren Joseph Renard, 84, will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in David Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dave Rousse officiating. Interment will follow at LeBlanc Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Erath on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. A native of Avery Island and a resident of Erath, Mr. Renard died at 7:45PM on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. During that time he was part of a crew that flew a secret mission overseas; and was a Military Policeman while stationed in Roswell, NM. After the military he worked a short time in the mines in New Mexico, then returned home and worked as a welder till he retired. After retirement he became an active member of Faith Cathedral Church and was a member of their prayer team. He is survived by two daughters, Cathy Renard Simon of Lafayette and Vonnie Renard Louviere of Kaplan; five sons, Keith Renard and his wife Tina of Delcambre, Dean Renard and his wife Vicki of Abbeville, Doug Renard and his wife Lynette of Maurice, David Renard of Erath, and Kim Renard and his wife Jamie of Parks; a sister, Mara Renard Ramsey of Houston, TX; sixteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grace Duhon Renard; his parents, Clemile and Electa Dubois Renard; two brothers, Sidney Paul Renard and Ronald Dean Renard, and a grandson, Colby Simon. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith Renard, Dean Renard, Doug Renard, David Renard, Kim Renard, and Carl Bourque. The family would to extend a special thanks to the staff at Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home and the staff at Amedisys Hospice Care. David Funeral Home of Erath at 209 E.
