Youngsville - A Mass of Christian Burial for Laura Mae Vallot Baudoin, 100, will be held Friday July 10, 2015, at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, with Fr. Jason Mouton Pastor of St. Anne officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday July 9, 2015 from 5:00PM until 8:00PM with a Rosary recited at 6:30 and will resume Friday at 8:00 AM until time of services with a Chaplet of Divine Mercy recited at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery. A native of Youngsville and a resident of Houston TX, she passed away on Saturday July 4, 2015 at a Houston Health Care facility. Mrs. Laura was retired from the Lafayette Parish School Board with 37 years of services, she was a member of the Lafayette Parish Teacher Association, Louisiana State Teacher's Association and the National Teacher's Association; she was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church where she was a Eucharist Minister, member of St. Anne Altar Society as well as St. Anne Rosary Group. Mrs. Laura is survived by step son Warren J. Baudoin of Youngsville; nephews Rod Vallot of Lake Charles, Stephen Vallot of Gulfport MS, J.D.Vallot and Kermit Vallot both of Baton Rouge. She was preceded in death by her first husband Ethelbert "Bert" Landry; her second husband George Baudoin; her parents Joseph Vallot Sr. and Alida Higginbotham ; three sisters Felicia Hebert, Ada Landry, and Sylvia Vallot; four brothers Joseph Vallot Jr., Ode' Vallot, Willis Vallot, and Douglas Vallot. Serving as pallbearers will be Earl E. Vallot Jr., Roderick Vallot, Drew Gillen, Fredrick Mannino, Glenn Conner, Dillon Conner. The family would like to offer sincere and heartfelt appreciation to Aunt Mae's great niece Monique and her husband Drew Gillen, who have taken care of our lovely aunt in her last years, and in addition to the many caregivers who took such good care of our aunt especially Heartland @ Willowbrook and Silverado Hospice.
