Loreauville- Funeral services will be held for Mr. Leroy Joseph Prados, age 83, on Friday July 24, 2015 at 3:00pm at David Funeral Home of Loreauville with Fr. Buddy Breaux to serve as the Celebrant. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin Friday morning July 24, 2015 at 8:30am and conclude at 2:50pm with a recitation of the rosary at 11:00am. A native of Loreauville and a resident of Maurice and former resident of Loreauville, "Lee" as he was affectionately known, passed away on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 3:53pm at a Maurice nursing facility. Mr. Prados retired as an Engineer after service Pennzoil Production Company and Tidewater Marine for thirty plus years. He enjoyed the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. Mr. Prados found the greatest joy in going to his camp and spending time on the lake. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Randy Prados and wife Delores of New Iberia, Lanny Prados of New Iberia, Cathy Prados Lalande and husband David of Maurice; grandchildren, Heather Prados Bertrand and husband Lucus of New Iberia, Hannah Prados and fiancé Josh Lasseigne of Loreauville, Mathew Prados of New Iberia, Marissa Prados of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Alex Bertrand of New Iberia, Kourtney Prados and Sommer Landry both of Loreauville; sisters, Marie Eberly of Indiana, and Verna Mae Derouen and husband E.J. of New Iberia and Lucky LaLande. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Breaux Prados, parents, Frank Prados Sr. and Elizabeth Blanchard Prados; sister, Martha Berard, and four brothers, Frank Prados Jr., Charles Prados, John Prados Sr., and Isaac Prados. Upholding the honor or Pallbearers will be Randy Prados, Lanny Prados, Mathew Prados, David Lalande, Gerard "Buster" Prados, and John Prados Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Prados, Lucas Bertrand, Glen Berard, and Gerald Prados. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care and the staff of Pelican Point Nursing Home for their care and compassion.
