New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. George LaPlace, the former Eula Guillotte, 90, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 10:30 AM at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 28, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 6:00 PM. A native of Jeanerette, a former resident of New Iberia and a resident of St. Martinville, Mrs. LaPlace passed away on Monday, July 27, 2015, at 6:50 AM in a St. Martinville nursing facility. She was a retired Beautician and loved to play cards, bingo, dancing, cooking and taking care of her family. She is survived by her son, Terry J. Landry and his wife Donna of Prairieville; her brother, Ronald Guillotte of Lafayette; her sister, Mary Lois Guillotte of St. Martinville; her grandchildren, Wendy LaRive Bourque and her husband Robbie, Brady LaRive and his wife Della, Darren LaRive and his wife Kim, Timothy Landry all of New Iberia, James LaRive, Jr. and his wife Beth of Franklin, Kirk Landry and his wife Sandra of Jeanerette and Brandy Landry Jones and her husband James, Sr. of Thibodeaux; thirteen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George LaPlace; her father, Maurice Guillotte; her mother, Ludie Broussard Guillotte; her son, Alvin Landry; her daughter, Anna Joyce LaRive; her brothers, Maurice Guillotte and Ulysse Guillotte and her sisters, Irene Chase, Luna Migues and Doris Guillotte. Pallbearers will be Trey Jones, Ryan Moore, John LaRive, Brady LaRive, Darren LaRive and Robbie Bourque.
