Lafayette - Funeral services for Melba Castille Boudreaux, age 80, will be held at David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Hwy, on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Bill Ruskoski officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 from 8:30 am until time of service. Burial will follow at a later date. Melba a native and resident of Lafayette, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 8:55 am at her residence. She enjoyed bingo, decorating and crafts. She was active in the church group where she lived in the Catholic Diocese apartments. Although she had some disabilities herself, she enjoyed serving others with disabilities. She is survived by three daughters, Susan Bouligny of St. Martinville, Elizabeth "Liz" Brashier and her fiancée Randy Landry of Lafayette, Julie Derouen and her husband Ricky of St. Martinville; six grandchildren Ryan Brashier and wife Erin, Jared Brashier, Hayley Brashier, Courtney Bouligny, Ashley Purtle and Brooke Purtle; one great granddaughter, Charlotte Cecilé who is on the way; special friends Randy Blanchett and Keosha Schexneider. She was preceded in death by her parents Percy Castille and Mabel Girouard Castille; first husband Nolan Bouligny; second husband Dalton Boudreaux. The family wishes to express their thanks to Southern Care Hospice and special appreciation to Dr. Chancellor Donald with Louisiana Oncology Association.
