Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Marguerite "Sis" Charpentier Daigle, 85, on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow St. John Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, August 7, 2015, at 8:00 AM until 9:45 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM. A native of Adeline and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Daigle passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 8:45 AM at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She fought a short and very courageous battle with Lymphoma Cancer by the power of her rosary and strong faith. She was a "Loving Mother and Grandmother" who loved to cook. She worked as a Seamstress at Jeanerette Mills. She is survived by her sons, Gregory G. Daigle of New Iberia and Bradley J. Daigle of Lafayette; her daughters, Lori Harrington and Sharon Marie Savoy and her husband Dewey all of Jeanerette; her daughter-in-law, Lisa P. Daigle of New Iberia; her brothers, Shanley Charpentier of Baldwin, J. C. Charpentier of New Iberia, Hillary Charpentier of Franklin, Shelton Charpentier of Lafayette and Marshall Charpentier of Victoria, TX; her sisters, Betty Kern and Earline Dupre both of Jeanerette; her grandchildren, Amanda Vernon and her husband Jory of Jeanerette, Meagan Harrington and her fiance' Noah Scott, Sr. of New Iberia, Lauren Harrington of Youngsville, Katie Daigle and her fiancee' Bracie Comeaux and Kristen Daigle all of New Iberia and her great grandchildren, Taylor Vernon, Tyler Vernon both of Jeanerette, Kaden Dominique and Noah James "Boo Boo" Scott, Jr. both of New Iberia; her best friend, Angelina "Jo" Simoneaux of Jeanerette and her sister-in-law, Doris Kapp of Lydia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy "Bobby" Daigle; her father, Elle Charpentier; her mother, Venida Bourque Charpentier; her son-in-law, Randall P. Harrington and her brother, Leroy Charpentier. The family would like to thank AAA Hospice and Staff for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Daigle and a special thanks to her doctor, Dr. Stephen Boudreaux and her hospice nurse, Resha. Pallbearers will be Jory Vernon, Lonnie Trimble, Katie Daigle, Kent Kern, Noah Scott, Sr. and Mike Charpientier. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Daigle, Bradley Daigle, Kaiden Dominique, Tyler Vernon, Noah James Scott, Jr., Bryce Leslie and Bracie Comeaux.
