Norman J. Frederick

Lafayette - Funeral services for Norman J. Frederick, 74, will be at David Funeral Home 316 Youngsville Hwy on Saturday August 8 , 2015 at 10:00 AM, with father William Chambough Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Milton officiating. Visitation will be held Friday August 7, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM and will continue Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of services. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Milton. A native of Erath and a resident of Youngsville Mr. Frederick passed away Thursday August 6, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Frederick worked in the oilfield for 35 years, when he retired from Otis Engineering (now Halliburton) he and his wife traveled the country, and enjoyed spending time at their deer camp in north LA where lots of memories were made with family and friends. Survivors include two daughters Darlene F. and her husband Kevin Ayme of Youngsville, and Dawn Frederick of Youngsville; two sons Duane and his wife Karen Frederick of Youngsville, and Derek Frederick of Lafayette; his grandchildren Monique A. and her husband Kavish Shah of Carencro, Andrew J. Ayme of Youngsville, Christopher Frederick of Milton, Kayla Frederick of Milton, and Rene' Frederick of Broussard. He is also survived by his great grandchildren Hunter Marshall, Priya Shah, and Liam Marshall who is due in September. Mr. Frederick was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patsy S. Frederick; his parents Rene and Lucy Menard Frederick; his sister Beatrice F. Decoux; and his brother Leewood Frederick. Serving as pallbearers will Sean Littleton, Derek Frederick, Andrew Ayme, Christopher Frederick, Sterling Callahan, and Paul Frederick; honorary pallbearers will be Rene Frederick, Raywood Menard, Kevin Ayme, Brian LeBlanc, Kavish Shah, and Trevor Marshall. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire staff of Nursing Specialties including their hospice staff, especially his nurses Michelle, and Sonya for the quality of care they showed our dad as well as the rest for the family.
