Floyd Leon Parks, Jr.

New Iberia - Funeral services will be conducted for Floyd Leon Parks, Jr., 74, on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 4:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Floyd officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM at David Funeral Home 1101 Trotter St. in New Iberia. A native of Louisville, MS and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Parks passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at 9:45 AM at his residence. He was a floor installer at Ralph's Floor Center for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict and served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. He was a fan of Jeff Gordon and NASCAR and everyone knew of his love of his Ole Miss Rebels. He loved his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patricia Floyd Parks of New Iberia; his daughters, Jan Whitehead of Louisville, MS, and Shannon Parks of New Iberia; his sons, Michael "Bubba" Parks, Charles "Chuckie" Parks and his wife Tandi and Scott Parks and his companion Kayla Cox all of New Iberia; his sister, Barbara Parker of Purvis, MS; his grandchildren, Kristi Landry, Joshua Landry, Jenny Landry, Gavin Parks, Lane Parks, Amilee Parks, Kennedi Parks, Blake Parks, Collin Parks, Chase Parks, Ceejay Guidry all of New Iberia, Dawn Micah Graham, Traci Linley, Trent Whitehead and Trey Whitehead all of Louisville, MS and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Parks, Sr.; his mother, Lilly Mae Woodall Parks; his mother-in-law, Mary Bennie Floyd; his sister's-in-law, Brenda Broussard and Carolyn Floyd; his father-in-law, Prentiss Floyd and his brother-in-law, Jack Parker. Pallbearers will be Joshua Landry, Charles Parks, Scott Parks, Michael Parks, Harris Broussard and Timmy Shane Floyd.
