Lafayette - Memorial Services for Doris Fruge, 83, will be Tues. August 18, 2015 at 12:00PM at David Funeral Home of Lafayette with Brother Roland Berry officiating. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tues. August 18, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of service. Doris, born in Turkey Creek and a resident of Lafayette, passed away Tuesday August 11, 2015 in her residence. She was a member of Northgate Church of Christ for over 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She had a love for all people and never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband Harrison "Big" Fruge of Lafayette; a son, Steven Fruge and wife Barbara of Broussard; a daughter, Betty Fruge Carney of Lafayette; two sisters, Shirley Soileau and husband Steve of Patterson, Nell Roy and husband Casper of Erath. Five grandchildren and Twelve great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edovice and Nettie Thibodeaux Guillory; her brother, Elbie Guillory and her father and mother-in-law, Zepherin and Ena Bellon Fruge.
