Anita Trahan Grivat

Loreauville- A Mass of Christian Burial was held for Mrs. Anita Trahan Grivat, age 96, on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at 3:00pm at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Father Buddy Breaux served as the Celebrant. A native of Louisa and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Grivat passed away on Monday August 17, 2015 at 10:20am at her residence. Mrs. Grivat enjoyed doing numerous things throughout her life, her favorites being sewing and crocheting. Survivors include her children, Ondina G. Louviere, Sylvia G. Broussard, Lennet J. "Butch" Grivat Jr., Portia G. Burke, and Kirk J. Grivat; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lennet J. Grivat Sr.; parents, Felix Trahan Sr. and Lena Dressel Trahan; and one brother, Felix Trahan Jr. Pallbearers were Lennet J. "Butch" Grivat Jr., Kirk J. Grivat, Sylvia G. Broussard, Rene Burke, Casey Grivat and Julie Grivat. The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, the hospice nurses, and Mrs. Grivat's caregiver Cathy Walker for the outstanding care and compassion given to their mother. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mrs. Grivat's honor may be made to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston St. Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
