Paulfrey Lee Derise

Jeanerette - Funeral Services for Paulfrey Lee Derise, 80, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday, August 24, 2015 at David Funeral Home Chapel of Jeanerette with Rev. A. L. Lyle officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Pentecostal Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday August 24, 2015 from 8:00AM until the time of the services. A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Derise died at 10:40PM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Maison Teche Nursing Home. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines and was known for his enjoyment of fishing. However, one of his greatest enjoyments was being with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janell Borel Derise of Jeanerette; three sons, Derwood Derise and his wife Lisa of Lydia, Dwight Derise and his wife Karen of Broussard, and Dwayne Derise and his wife Jan of Lydia; a brother, Alexis "Bob" Derise and his wife Fay of Corpus Christi, TX; a sister, Barbara LeBlanc of Lydia; four grandchildren, Blake Paul Derise and his wife Candace of Jeanerette, Jordan Derise of Columbus, MS, Michael Dwayne Arceneaux of Franklin, and Patrick Migues and his girlfriend Kate Segura of Lydia; his mother in law, Delta Mae Borel of Jeanerette; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Avnel and Mae Broussard Derise; a sister, Emma Leleux; and two grandchildren, Joshua Blaine Derise and Rachel Renee Derise. Serving as pallbearers will be Derwood Derise, Dwight Derise, Dwayne Derise, Blake Derise, Jordan Derise, and Damon LeBlanc. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alexis "Bob" Derise, Carrol Borel, Sr., and Larry Borel. David Funeral Home of Jeanerette at 400 Provost St. (337)937-0405 will be handling the arrangements.
