Jeanerette- A Memorial Service with Military Honors for Mr. Nelson James Hebert, Jr., age 74, will be held on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 1:00pm at David Funeral Home of Jeanerette, 400 Provost St. with Deacon Theo Landry to serve as the Celebrant. A gathering of family and friend will be held on Saturday morning beginning at 9:00am and conclude before the start of the service. A recitation of the rosary will be at 12:00pm. A native of Jeanerette and resident of Charenton, Mr. Hebert passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2015 at 9:28pm at a Lafayette hospital. Mr. Hebert proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army having fought in the Vietnam War. He was a fisherman by profession, loved to hunt and fish in his spare time. Survivors include his children, Michael Hebert of Jeanerette, Pam H. Caprito and husband Jay of Franklin, Lisa H. Broussard of Jeanerette; brother, Ray Hebert and wife Hope of Charenton; sister, Barbara Lynn Hebert Saucier of New Iberia; grandchildren, Brett Hebert and wife Jessika, Kara Bouton and husband Robert, Kayla Broussard, Thomas Caprito, Matthew Caprito, Rachel Caprito; and two great grandchildren, Ava Hebert and Emma Bouton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson James Hebert Sr. and Ida Dooley Hebert; and one sister, Lona Faye Abraham.
