Bryce "Bj" James Lewis

Lafayette - Funeral services for Bryce James "BJ" Lewis, 33 years old, will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at David Funeral Home in Lafayette with Reverend Richard Humphries of Asbury United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at David Funeral Home in Lafayette on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 8:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, August 31, 2015 from 8:00 AM until the time of services at 2:00 PM. A native of Painesville, OH and a resident of Lafayette, Bryce "BJ" passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, August 27, 2015 after a very long battle with cancer. The family wishes to thank the staff at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital for their compassionate care and treatments of Bryce these past 8 years. Thank you also to the nursing staff at Our Lady of Lourdes. He is survived by his fiancée Francheska Desirae Lazard; son Bryce James Lewis, Jr. of Lafayette; parents Bryce A. Lewis and Aritha M. Lewis of Lafayette; sister Tiffany Sellers and her husband Jarrod of Broussard; brother Jason Allen Lewis of Los Angeles, CA; nephews Owen Sellers and Liam Sellers of Broussard, and Trent Allen Lewis of Los Angeles, CA; paternal grandmother Lillian M. Lewis of Venice, FL; maternal grandparents James R. Lewis, Sr. and Rita M. Lewis of Elizabeth, PA. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Bryce A. Lewis, Sr. Serving as pallbearers will be Jarrod Sellers, Edward James Felix, Amilcar Simpson, John James (Blue), Aaron Chase Reed, Joshua Ryan Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Allen Lewis, Trent Allen Lewis, and James Richard Lewis, Jr. David Funeral Home, 316 Youngsville Hwy, Lafayette will be handling the arrangements. Donations in Bryce's memory can be made to Miles Perret Cancer Services in Lafayette.
